No. Evaluations are handled by your county's Early Intervention program through separate evaluation agencies. Our role begins after you have an IFSP and choose us as your service-delivery agency. If you haven't started the EI process yet, contact your county directly: NYC families call 311, Nassau County families call (516) 227-8661, and Westchester families call (914) 813-5094.

Once you have an IFSP, you can request us by name through your service coordinator. Your county is required to honor family choice on the agency that delivers services, as long as we have availability in your area. Reach out to us anytime — we'll explain the request process to your coordinator if needed.

Once you've selected us and your service coordinator has confirmed the referral, we typically have your first session scheduled within 1–2 weeks. We move fast on our end.

Yes — pediatricians often refer families to us once an IFSP is in place. If your pediatrician suggested EI, we recommend asking them or calling your county to start the evaluation process. Once you have an IFSP, we'd love to be your delivery agency.

Therapy with toddlers should look like play. If your child isn't engaging on a particular day, we adapt. We don't push through tantrums or force participation — that's not how learning works. We're trained to read your child and adjust.

Yes — we work with bilingual providers in several languages. Tell us what you need when you reach out, and we'll match your family with the right provider when there's availability.

Yes, and we encourage it whenever possible. If two caregivers are involved in a child's daily life, both benefit from learning the strategies we're using.

EI ends on a child's third birthday. Your service coordinator will help you transition to your local school district's CPSE (Committee on Preschool Special Education) program around 6 months before your child turns 3. We'll be alongside you for that transition.
